Kicking the habit

I like Coke (as in Coca-Cola - NOT cocaine) and Dr. Pepper a LOT. I know it's not good for me but I like it. When we lived in Japan I kicked the habit completely and felt GREAT. My skin was glowing, I had natural energy and groceries were cheaper! :)
However, when we moved back from Japan the jet lag was horrible and I started drinking it again to stay awake in the afternoons. Then I was hooked again.
We moved back overseas about a year later so there was no need to try to get off of it again just to have jet lag and get hooked again. We got to Morocco and were there for a little over a year so I used the same excuse. :)
I swore that when I got back here to the US I'd kick the habit but so far I've failed. :) A lot of it has been that it is such a habit for me to grab a coke when I'm thirsty rather than anything else. So, I've decided to wean myself and started yesterday. I had my morning coke and that was all for the day. I had a horrible headache late afternoon but grabbed Advil and water instead of a coke. :) I've been sleeping A LOT but I know that will pass once it's out of my system.
I did an online digital scrapbook challenge and had to do a page with this quote about habits. I chose to scrap about Coke. :)

Love the scrapbook page! Just don't let my DH see it or you might set off his caffeine addiction again. If you need a "sponsor" to help you kick the habit, give him a call.

You go girl! It's worth kicking the habitn now! Just thinking of that glowing skin:)
