Can't believe it's almost Christmas!

I can't believe Christmas is in a few days. It doesn't really feel like it. We are still unpacking but have made some GREAT progress this week. Yesterday I got out some of my favorite Christmas candles/candle holders and turned on some Christmas music. That helped! In the past I've decorated the entire house including the bathrooms. This year I got the tree up! :) I need to take a picture and display it on here. I also put out most of my snowmen. For those who don't know, I collect snowmen. My mom thinks it's a little silly since I actually started collecting them years before I saw snow (I saw real snow - not just some flurries for the first time in December 2002 when we lived in Missouri). Anyway, I usually put the snowmen all around the house. This year they are all on a table on the landing on our staircase.
I think this sounds more depressing than I actually feel! I'm looking forward to Christmas! :) We are going to a good friend's home for Christmas Eve and another friend is having an open house on Christmas day. It will be fun. I'm also looking forward to giving Andrew his presents. He's still not in the mode of asking for certain things. I had him go on Amazon.com and pick out some things he liked, but he's not really hoping for one special thing. That takes a lot of pressure off of us!!! :) He does think that the friendly guy that works the post office at our Embassy gives us all of our packages! :) Coincidentally, this same man has impersonated "you know who" at some parties lately. :) It's pretty cute.
