So, we sent off for the DNA test to determine if the girls are identical or fraternal. I honestly go back and forth on this one. Both Josh and I have had just one in our presence and couldn't tell which one we had. Other times I think their differences are so obvious. So we are setting up a poll and you can vote. It will be to the right above Josh's picture. Here are a few pictures to make you think about it:

Here is how I tell them apart. Leah has a round face and leila has a rectangular face. No telling if that will last or not but so far it works for me. :)

I am 99.99 percent sure they are identical. With fraternal there just seems to be more of a difference. Whatever they are they are sure cute and I love the pictures.
People always thought that Holly and I were identical but the doctor said that we were fraternal - based on the fact that we were born in separate amniotic sacs. They now say that if the division happens early enough, the two babies will develop separately. So the only way we could know would be to have a DNA test.
O.K. so I didn't get around to voting before you already posted, so now I'm sure you won't believe me but this is actually what I had. I got all 4 right!
Amanda thinks Leila has a bit more of a receding hariline, and then there is the face shape (it's getting harder for me to tell based on chuby cheeks and a less chubby cheeks. I also think that Leila has a tiny bit more sparkle in her eye when she is happy. That's how I guess them apart, in pictures.
I lso sort of think they are fraternal... this is based on the fact that there are sublt differences (but that could just be becuase of size). but with how often people have asked if some of my girls at 2 yrs and 20 months apart adn yet people have asked many many times if they are twins. I think that siblings can still look so much alike, and yet be only twins, not identical. Just my rambling thoughts. I bet I'll turn out to be wrong, but, we'll see! :-)
