We have quarantined ourselves until Monday

Around Tuesday Leah didn't seem to feel well but she didn't have a fever. She had a clear runny nose and we've had some drastic weather changes so I assumed it was sinus/allergy issues. By Wednesday Leila wasn't doing great either.
Thursday morning Andrew woke up saying he thought he had a fever. He did! By 7pm all the kids had fevers that I was fighting with Motrin and the girls had a croup sounding cough. Andrew had croup when he was younger so I decided to take them in to the Urgent Care clinic.
We got to the clinic and signed the kids in. This clinic is part of a larger clinic that oversees my eye doc, the kids pediatrician, my doctor, etc. If you are in the system with one doctor, you're in the system with all. It's supposed to be convenient. Not so in our case!
They called me up and asked which two of the triplets I had with me. Uh, they are only twins! THere is not a third person!!!! Legally the girls still use their Moroccan names until next month when the adoption is final in the US. They had Leah, Leila and one of the Moroccan names. I told them that if they sent a bill for Leah or Leila to our insurance they would NOT get paid. They are listed under their legal, Moroccan names. We got it all cleared up and they asked if Andrew had any other names. *SIGH* I guess I did come across as suspicious!
By the time we were called back into the office Leila was just laying in her stroller. I could tell she was miserable. I had given them Motrin 2 hours earlier but Leila's fever was 104, Andrew's was 101 and Leah's was 99. The doctor decided to have me rotate tylenol and motrin so I could give them motrin and two hours later give them tylenol and then two hours later it would be time for Motrin and then two hours later it would be time for tylenol. He also gave them an antibiotic b/c their ears looked like they were in the early stages of infection.
Then the doctor decided he wanted to do a flu test on the girls. Andrew was quite lively during the visit so he didn't want to subject him to the flu test (swab up the nose) if he didn't seem that sick. We had to wait 15 minutes for the test to give a result. The test came back positive for Influenza A. Because it is highly contagious, he prescribed Tamiflu for me and all of the kids. The doctor also noted that Andrew was asleep and looking worse on the exam table and said that it was very likely he had the flu. He said we would need to stay away from others until Monday to avoid further exposure.
With all the visitors we have on a daily basis I feel we've probably shared this. I feel badly about that, but it wasn't like I knew. :)
The kids are looking better as of noon today. Andrew has been watching way too much tv on the couch and in my bed. Leah and Leila have been sleeping a LOT and sitting on the floor in the living room trying to play (they are usually constantly walking around finding things to get in to). The fevers are under control. No one has had one over 100 since we started the motrin/tylenol rotation. I hate seeing them so sick but I'm very thankful for good health insurance that included prescriptions.
I was able to get a lot of groceries yesterday so I think we can get through the weekend with no problem. I can always give my sister some money for last minute items too. I just want to keep her away from us as much as possible though!
We would appreciate prayers though. I've never had more than one sick at a time and the girls are in a high risk category for complications from the flu. Based on their progress so far, I think they'll be ok though!
So, in the 13 days since Josh has been gone I've had oral surgery and the kids have had the flu! Hopefully the rest of this deployment will go MUCH smoother because we have until May 2010!!!!

Rachel, sorry everyone got sick. I am glad you didn't get it. Being a sick mom when they are little is sooo hard. You all are always in our prayers.
