I picked up Andrew from school today and he got in the back of the van and said something like "I don't want you to worry about my eye, ok?" Needless to say I turned around to see what he was talking about. I saw the red and I also saw what looked like dirt.
Turns out another little boy in his class (who is often his partner in crime) found some duct tape under a table. The little boy took the tape off and slapped it onto Andrew's eye. Then the little boy immediately ripped it off! The result? One black (I guess it's technically red but it's bruised) eye that is VERY sticky.
Upon closer inspection I realized that the sticky needed to come off as painlessly as possible. So I got some cotton balls and some Goo Gone. I sprayed the Goo Gone onto the cotton balls and carefully took the sticky off. It was most difficult on his eyelid! He says it hurts under his eye.
Some have asked about the little boy. He was punished at school and I'm not really angry. Honestly, I was just glad Andrew wasn't the one who found the duct tape first!!!
This is not the best picture of Andrew (with his messed up hair, etc) but you can obviously see the red. What looks like dirt is the adhesive from the duct tape.

Awe! Poor thing, but I must admit... he still looks so cute and happy, even with his bruised little eye. -Jilean Dennee
Okay that is a new one. Leave it to Andrew. Man I love that kid.
One of my girls stuck several cute stickers on her siblings face once. When we pulled/peeled them off, some skin came with them. She had a bad rug burn kind of rash for a while. Poor thing! It didnt' leave any permanant damage, since I can't really remember who either child involved was...
That sounds like such a boy thing to do. I'm glad his eye is ok.
