Uh, can we have our kids back please?

Last night we all went out to dinner. Andrew brought a friend along so there were 6 of us. It was the first time we have all ventured out together except at the embassy. We get to the restaurant and are seated. The waitress comes, takes our drink and appetizer order and returns with our drinks and appetizers and holds out her arms to take Leah. We hand her over and she walks off! Then another waitress comes and gets Leila and disappears. We enjoyed our appetizers in peace. :) We kept waiting for them to take our entree order and it did take forever to get the waitress to focus on our order instead of the girls. :)
They just took the girls around the restaurant showing everyone (customers and coworkers) the girls. As soon as they brought them back, another waiter or waitress came and got them.
Of course, this would never fly in the US, but it's not unusual for it to happen in Morocco. They truly meant no harm and they didn't take them out of the restaurant. It was a little different than what we are used to so it felt a little awkward. :)
So we got a meal and babysitting last night. :)

This reminds me of when we were in Korea with Annie when she was 8 months old. The exact same thing happed in a restaurant in a folk village. Also, on the subways people would take her and show her off. Then when we went back to korea Lizzy was with us as a baby and she wasn't as friendly when people tried to take her from me...I hope it didn't damage international relations! Thanks for the updates!
